چکیده
Bananas are one of the world’s most consumed fruits. Developing countries in Global South depend on bananas for food security and livelihoods. Still, banana industry also drives a multinational trade worth billions US dollars. In addition, plants hold cultural religious significances many Asian countries. However, production faces several challenges, major issues is Fusarium wilt disease caused by fungus oxysporum f. sp. cubense Tropical Race 4 (Foc TR4). This threatens numerous cultivars, including Cavendish, traded cultivar. Therefore, objective this study was to find effective measures control spread through antagonistic soil bacteria. isolated 14 fluorescent, siderophore-producing bacteria with vitro inhibition rates 21.73-50.38% against Foc TR4 from surrounding plants. Most isolates were identified as Pseudomonas spp. via 16S rRNA sequencing, phylogenetic analysis based 16s sequences showed clustering congruent results similarity searches. Three that exhibited relatively higher activity compared other JBAA132 (50.38%), K2B131 (46.28%), KTP231 (45.38%). Isolate displayed differences biochemical characteristics its closest match (Pseudomonas aeruginosa type strain DSM50071). It demonstrated nitrogen-fixing phosphate solubilising properties common plant growth promoters. isolate may be further explored potential biocontrol agent curbing TR4.

Isolation and Heterologous Expression of a Polygalacturonase Produced by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense Race 1 and 4
Fusarium wilt (Panama disease) caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense (FOC) represents a significant threat to banana (Musa spp.) production. Musa AAB is susceptible to Race 1 (FOC1) and Race 4 (FOC4), while Cavendish Musa AAA is found to be resistant to FOC1 but still susceptible to Race 4. A polygalacturonase (PGC3) was purified from the supernatant of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense r...
متن کاملComparative Transcriptomic Analysis of Race 1 and Race 4 of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense Induced with Different Carbon Sources
The fungal pathogen Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense causes Fusarium wilt, one of the most destructive diseases in banana and plantain cultivars. Pathogenic race 1 attacks the "Gros Michel" banana cultivar, and race 4 is pathogenic to the Cavendish banana cultivar and those cultivars that are susceptible to Foc1. To understand the divergence in gene expression modules between the two races dur...

Fusarium wilt of banana, a destructive disease that affects banana production, is caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense tropical race 4 (Foc TR4). In a previous study, we confirmed the strong inhibitory effects of Chinese leek (Allium tuberosum) on the incidence of this disease. Sulfur compounds are the primary antifungal constituents of Chinese leek. Among these, dimethyl trisulfide (DT)...
متن کاملIdentification of Volatile Metabolites from Fungal Endophytes with Biocontrol Potential towards Fusarium oxysporum F. sp. cubense
Problem statement: Fungal endophytes are widely studied for their potential as biocontrol agents towards fungal pathogens. In vitro assessments usually reveal their antibiosis and mycoparasitism nature, but little is understood regarding their production of volatile metabolites as mechanisms of antagonism. Approach: This study explored the potential of fungal endophytes in controlling the patho...
متن کاملTranscriptome and Expression Profile Analysis of Highly Resistant and Susceptible Banana Roots Challenged with Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense Tropical Race 4
Banana wilt disease, caused by the fungal pathogen Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense 4 (Foc4), is regarded as one of the most devastating diseases worldwide. Cavendish cultivar 'Yueyoukang 1' was shown to have significantly lower disease severity and incidence compared with susceptible cultivar 'Brazilian' in greenhouse and field trials. De novo sequencing technology was previously performed to...
